ATLANTA – One week after seeing his first NFL action at left tackle, 49ers offensive lineman Zane Beadles lined up in a position he had never before played.

With only a few practice snaps on the side during the course of the week, Beadles was pressed into action to play 13 snaps Sunday at center in the 49ers’ 41-13 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. The 49ers (1-13) were losers for the 13th consecutive time to extend their own franchise-worst record.

Beadles the second start of his NFL career at left tackle in place of Joe Staley, who has missed the past two games with a hamstring injury.
