49ers’ skid continues with loss to Cardinals

GLENDALE, Ariz. — The dud in the desert ended up producing drama.

After spending most of Sunday afternoon showing why they arrived with 1-6 records, the 49ers and Cardinals awoke for an interesting ending.

Unfortunately for the 49ers, it was another finish they’d like to forget: The 49ers extended their losing streak to six games by squandering a 12-point, fourth-quarter lead in a 18-15 loss at State Farm Stadium.

The Cardinals completed the comeback with rookie quarterback Josh Rosen’s 9-yard touchdown pass to rookie wideout Christian Kirk with 34 seconds left.

It was a furious finish to a game that featured more punts (nine) than points (eight) in the first 39 minutes.
