Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the 49ers are signing veteran C Tim Barnes to a contract on Monday.
Barnes actually tried out for the 49ers last week, so he was clearly on their radar as a potential addition.
Barnes, 28, originally signed with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Missouri back in 2011. He played out a number of one-year contracts before signing a two-year agreement with the Rams last year.
In 2016, Barnes appeared in all 16 games for the Rams and Pro Football Focus graded him as the No.
