The San Francisco 49ers today announced they have signed offensive lineman Wesley Johnson to a one-year deal and waived tight end Marcus Lucas.
Wesley Johnson (6-5, 309) was originally drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fifth round (173rd overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft. Throughout his five years with the Steelers (2014), New York Jets (2014-17) and Miami Dolphins (2018), he appeared in 51 games (24 starts) along the offensive line. In 2018, he signed with the Detroit Lions on March 29, 2018 and was later released by the team on September 1, 2018.
