The San Francisco 49ers have a host of of their own free agents to consider this offseason, but we can remove one name from the list. The team announced Friday they have re-signed linebacker Mark Nzeocha to a one-year contract.
Nzeocha was a restricted free agent, having entered the league in 2015. This meant the 49ers could have tendered him, but clearly they were pleased with his work. The 49ers signed him off the Dallas Cowboys practice squad on September 25, 2017, and he appeared in ten games. He registered four special teams tackles, developing into a core special teamer.
