These are the kind of moves you can expect from teams like the San Francisco 49ers, who’ll be tweaking the back end of their 90-man offseason roster between now and training camp, then again into the regular season.
On Monday, the Niners officially announced a series of roster moves:
- Linebacker LaRoy Reynolds to a one-year deal
- Running back Austin Walter to a three-year deal
- Defensive lineman Ryan Delaire waived
San Francisco signed Delaire to its practice squad in September of 2018. He bounced back and forth a couple of times between the active roster and practice squad last season.
