Inside linebacker Dekoda Watson, a strong special-teams player who has played for four teams in the past three seasons, signed a three-year deal with the 49ers on Friday night.
Watson, 29, a seven-year veteran, is familiar with 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh, who was his position coach during his nine-game stint with the Jaguars in 2014. Watson finished that season with the Cowboys before playing for the Patriots (2015) and Broncos (2016).
A 2010 seventh-round pick of Tampa Bay, Watson has played in 89 games (seven starts) and registered 88 tackles, four sacks and 50 special-teams tackles.
