The 49ers are signing former Jaguars wide receiver Marqise Lee, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The seven-year pro out of USC was one of five players who attended the Niners rookie minicamp this past Friday.
Lee battled injuries during his career, as he sustained knee injuries in both 2018 and ‘19. He was going to play for the Patriots last year before opting out due to COVID-19.
During his career, Lee started 30 games out of 59, where he caught 174 passes for 2,184 yards and eight touchdowns. At practice on Friday, Lee reportedly caught three passes from Trey Lance.
