49ers sign former 3rd round pass rusher to practice squad

The San Francisco 49ers quietly made a practice squad addition on Thursday that could be an interesting one to track. They signed defensive end Daeshon Hall and released Niles Scott. The 49ers originally signed Scott on April 30th as an undrafted free agent. He was released during roster cuts and subsequently signed to the practice squad.

Hall is in only his second season in the NFL. The Carolina Panthers drafted him in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, 77th overall. He played nine snaps in the 2017 season opener, but did not play again that season.
