The San Francisco 49ers announced an addition to their 90-man offseason roster Friday afternoon. Defensive lineman Kapron Lewis Moore has signed a reserve/future contract. This will go along with Tuesday’s signings of offensive tackle Christian DiLauro, tight end Marcus Lucas, cornerback Tarvarus McFadden, wide receiver Jordan Smallwood, guard Najee Toran, and safety Terrell Williams.
As Fooch noted Tuesday, these contracts usually do not include any guaranteed money, but instead are placeholder contracts for the offseason workout program and training camp. Reserve/future contracts are used for players who were not on a 53-man roster at the end of the previous season, and primarily are used on recent practice squad players.
