The San Francisco 49ers have signed former Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Leon Hall, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. San Francisco worked out Hall multiple times and this move comes after three cornerbacks went down with injuries against the Indianapolis Colts.
It also comes in the wake of head coach Kyle Shanahan saying that the team believes free safety Jimmie Ward is meant to be a safety, and that he doesn’t want to play him at cornerback anymore. It’s probably a smart decision so Ward, still developing, can improve.
