ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the 49ers had reached an agreement with CB Emmanuel Moseley on a two-year deal worth up to $10.1 million. We’ll see how the contract details play out, but the team electing to extend Moseley and not place a RFA tender that would’ve cost $3.4 million tells us the Niners have confidence in Moseley.
This could potentially slam the door shut on a Jason Verrett deal, depending on Moseley’s cap hit. Moseley doesn’t have the same upside as Verrett, but you’re not worried about the injury history, and Moseley has proven he’s good enough to start in this league.
