The San Francisco 49ers came out to play Sunday night in New Jersey against the New York Giants, despite ending up on the losing side by a score of 30-27. Down only 13-6 at the half, the 49ers fought back and took a 27-23 lead with less than two minutes to play thanks to the heroics of both Colin Kaepernick‘s arm and Carlos Hyde‘s less than perfect legs.
Unfortunately even that lead with so little time left was not enough, as the 49ers defense, which struggled most of the 4th quarter against Eli Manning and the Giants offense, was not able to keep the G-men out of the end zone, giving up a touchdown on what was admittedly a beautiful catch with 21 seconds remaining.
