Once again after a long respite, the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks have re-emerged as must-watch football. Especially in a winner-take-all NFC West-determining Week 17 showdown at CenturyLink Field on Sunday Night Football.
The Niners are dealing with their own injuries, yes. But so is Seattle, namely losing two of their key running backs, Chris Carson (hip) and C.J. Prosise (arm), to season-ending injuries.
To account for the losses, the Seahawks subsequently signed two of its former running backs, Robert Turbin and an old 49ers nemesis, Marshawn Lynch, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter late Monday.
