49ers coach Kyle Shanahan refuted a report Tuesday there’s trouble brewing between him and general manager John Lynch that could eventually lead to a breakup of the team’s leaders.
Shanahan told NBC Sports Bay Area that the Bleacher Report story claiming he and Lynch “aren’t in lockstep as far as the vision of the offseason and the future of the franchise,” and he doesn’t trust Lynch’s decision-making is “complete (expletive).”
Matt Miller, Bleacher Report’s draft analyst, said his sources within the 49ers scouting and coaching staff told him the public perception of Shanahan and Lynch sharing the same beliefs on how to rebuild the storied team simply isn’t accurate.
