49ers’ Saleh explains why Foster not making calls on defense

After failing to finish two games and missing six others, 49ers rookie inside linebacker Reuben Foster finally played all four quarters Sunday.

“Film review was awesome because I played the whole game,” Foster said. “It’s not like you’re watching film and it’s like ‘Dang I’m out now.’”

Foster finished with 14 tackles in 20-10 loss to the Cardinals, but didn’t have the green dot, which is given to the player who has a radio in his helmet and receives calls from defensive coordinator Robert Saleh. That player then relays the calls to the rest of the defense.
