Coach Kyle Shanahan expects Reuben Foster fully cleared come 49ers training camp in late July, and that bodes well for the linebacker’s once-questioned availability as a rookie.
“He’ll be more than ready to go for training camp,” Shanahan said at Wednesday’s minicamp. “That’s my feeling. I can’t promise that but I’d be surprised if he wasn’t.”
Foster’s draft stock fell at least partly amid concerns he might need a second surgery to repair his right rotator cuff.
