The San Francisco 49ers finished up day three of their practice sessions in advance of their Week 10 prime-time matchup against the visiting New York Giants, and head coach Kyle Shanahan will be short three of his notable starters for the contest.
Linebacker Reuben Foster (shoulder), wide receiver Pierre Garçon (knee) and safety Jaquiski Tartt (shoulder) all missed practice this week and have been declared out for San Francisco’s Monday Night Football contest, per the team’s website.
Foster missed the Niners’ Week 9 home bout against the Oakland Raiders, being replaced by veteran linebacker Malcolm Smith, who bumped over from the strong-side (SAM) spot.
