Linebacker Reuben Foster, a 49ers’ first-round pick in last April’s draft, was arrested Friday in Alabama on marijuana possession charges.

Foster was charged with second degree possession, according to the website, and bond was set at $2,500. According to the website statelaws.findlaw.com, a second-degree charge is filed when someone possesses marijuana for their personal use. It is considered a Class A misdemeanor in the state.
In a statement, the team said: “The San Francisco 49ers organization is aware of the matter involving Reuben Foster and we are currently gathering all relevant facts.
