Kyle’s update, Wednesday, March 13, 10:50 a.m. PT: Multiple reports have said the 49ers have agreed to a deal with fullback Kyle Juszczyk. He restructured his contract and will free up roughly $1.75 million in cap space.
Juszczyk has two years left on his contract. Despite the restructure, he remains the highest-paid fullback in the NFL.
It wasn’t a surprise when we found out the San Francisco 49ers asked Arik Armstead to take a pay cut. The bigger shock was Armstead saying no, which would lead to his potential release.
Armstead isn’t the only player the Niners have approached to take a pay cut.
