One day after stating there was "some good news on the horizon" as it relates to his future employment, San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch has reportedly agreed to a five-year contract extension that will keep him in Santa Clara through 2024.
During a Tuesday interview with KNBR, Lynch — infamous for his refreshing candor on his team's potential transactions — was asked about a potential contract extension in light of head coach Kyle Shanahan's new deal.
"I could tell you think there’s some good news around the corner,” he said.
