49ers reportedly extend GM John Lynch. Is George Kittle next?

One day after stating there was "some good news on the horizon" as it relates to his future employment, San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch has reportedly agreed to a five-year contract extension that will keep him in Santa Clara through 2024.

During a Tuesday interview with KNBR, Lynch — infamous for his refreshing candor on his team's potential transactions — was asked about a potential contract extension in light of head coach Kyle Shanahan's new deal.

"I could tell you think there’s some good news around the corner,” he said.
