SANTA CLARA — Here is how the 49ers (2-10) graded in Sunday’s 43-16 loss to the host Seattle Seahawks (7-5):
After passing for 114 yards in the first half, Nick Mullens finished with 414 yards, the first 49ers QB to go over 400 since Colin Kaepernick (412, 2013 opener against Green Bay) and the most yards since Tim Rattay put 417 on the Arizona Cardinals in 2004. But, as Joe Staley said, the 49ers need points, not yards, to win games. Mullens’ pick-six to Malcolm Smith also tainted the haul of yards.
