The San Francisco 49ers announced a few moves ahead of their preseason opener on Saturday against the Tennessee Titans. Edge rusher Jonathan Garvin officially signed a one-year deal.
Punter Pressley Harvin III was also signed to a one-year deal with Mitch Wishnowsky, who was still battling a knee injury. Harvin was drafted in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has 218 career punts with a 43.7 average. He also has 11 postseason punts.
The 49ers needed to make two corresponding moves, so they placed edge rusher Austin Bryant on the Injured Reserve List.
