SANTA CLARA -- The 49ers released tight end Bruce Miller on Monday mere hours after a story broke that Miller had been arrested for assault in San Francisco.
Miller, who was arrested a year ago in Santa Clara, allegedly attacked two guests staying at the Fisherman’s Wharf Marriott early Monday morning, according to a report from KTVU television station, which cited multiple sources in the San Francisco Police Department. The report says Miller knocked on a guest’s door and was told he had the wrong room.
“That’s when Miller allegedly began attacking the guest,” the report says.
