The San Francisco 49ers announced on Saturday that they have released 20 players. The team also waived/injured wide receiver and placed linebacker on the Reserve/Suspended List.
The 49ers acquired wide receiver Rod Streater and an undisclosed draft pick from the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for an undisclosed draft pick. San Francisco also traded safety L.J. McCray to the Seattle Seahawks for an undisclosed draft pick. Streater and McCray must each pass a physical with their new teams for the trades to be executed.
Streater (6-2, 195) originally signed with the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent on May 11, 2012 from Temple University.
