The San Francisco 49ers today announced that oft-injured RB Kendall Hunter has reached an injury settlement with the team effectively ending his career with the club.
Hunter, who missed the entire 2014 season due to a torn ACL, was hoping to make a comeback. However, that did not happen, as and as a result will now be looking for work elsewhere.
In 43 regular season-games, Hunter has recorded 262 carries for 1,202 rushing yards and seven touchdowns.Originally a fourth-round pick (No. 115) of the 2011 NFL Draft, Hunter becomes the second 49ers running back in back-to-back season to be released/retired from the team due to injury as RB Marcus Lattimore retired last season.
