The San Francisco 49ers don’t have to feel as worried about their depth chart at running back in 2017 after re-signing journeyman tailback DuJuan Harris to a one-year deal.
News of the transaction was first reported by Harris’ agent, Andy Simms, Monday afternoon.
Citing a source, SFGate.com’s Eric Branch reported the deal was for 2017.
The Niners picked up Harris in the tail half of 2015 and elected to retain him for the start of the 2016 season, although the 28-year-old veteran frequently saw himself cut and re-signed as the likely 53rd man on the 53-man depth chart.
