GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Niners running back Carlos Hyde will play today against the Cardinals after missing the past two games with a sprain AC joint in his right shoulder.
With Hyde active, one of his backups, Mike Davis, is inactive for the first time this season. Davis, a 2015 fourth-round pick who is averaging 2.6 yards on 19 carries this season, has ceded his spot to DuJuan Harris.
Harris will be Hyde’s primary backup today after he collected 142 total yards and had a touchdown in his fourth career start in last week’s 41-23 loss to New Orleans.
