49ers: Raiders sign NaVorro Bowman to one-year deal | The Sacramento Bee

NaVorro Bowman isn’t going far.

The long-time 49ers linebacker signed a one-year, $3 million deal with the Oakland Raiders on Monday, according to ESPN. The 49ers released Bowman on Friday after the four-time All-Pro became upset over having to rotate with the team’s other inside linebackers.

San Francisco used one of its first-round pick on Reuben Foster, who eventually should take over at the “Mike” linebacker spot Bowman played through the first five games. Even though Bowman didn’t play this weekend, he still ranks 30th in the NFL in tackles with 38.

Meanwhile, the 49ers’ starting linebackers on Sunday, Brock Coyle and Ray-Ray Armstrong, struggled during the team’s 26-24 loss to Washington.
