SANTA CLARA — Jerick McKinnon, two days after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, got placed on the 49ers injured-reserve list Monday, along with rookie safety Marcell Harris.
The 49ers did not fill those roster vacancies with a new running back, instead re-signing defensive back Antone Exum Jr. and adding offensive lineman Matt Tobin, a sixth-year veteran who’s been with the Philadelphia Eagles, Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots.
Offensive lineman Zack Golditch rounded out the 10-man practice squad.
