The San Francisco 49ers promoted WR Chris Harper to the active roster from the team’s practice squad, the team announced.
In order to make room on the roster, the team released RB DuJuan Harris.
Harper (5-11, 185) originally signed on the 49ers practice squad on September 5, 2016. He entered the NFL with the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent on May 8, 2015 out of the University of California. After beginning the 2015 season on the Patriots practice squad, he was later elevated to the team’s 53-man roster where he appeared in five games and registered one reception for six yards.
