The San Francisco 49ers have made an expected roster move. The team announced on Saturday that they have promoted running back DuJuan Harris from the practice squad. The team waived defensive tackle Taylor Hart to make room for Harris on the 53-man roster.
Carlos Hyde will be inactive on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, leaving Mike Davis and Shaun Draughn as the only running backs on the 53-man roster. It makes sense they would thus add the veteran Harris, as opposed to rookie Kelvin Taylor.
Davis is likely to get the start on Sunday, with Draughn and Harris available to rotate in behind him.
