SANTA CLARA -- The 49ers will be without defensive lineman Glenn Dorsey and tight end Vance McDonald for tonight’s game against the Cardinals.
Dorsey, who is coming back from an ACL tear and who played in the last three games, was a late-week addition to the injury report with a knee issue. He practiced in full Monday and Tuesday but was limited on Wednesday. The 49ers listed him as questionable on their final report.
Dorsey went through a full workout before today’s game.
Earlier in the week, defensive coordinator Jim O’Neil said the 49ers were contemplating a bigger role for Dorsey, perhaps at nose tackle, a position that’s been manned by Mike Purcell early this season.
