SANTA CLARA -- Carlos Hyde will miss his second straight game with a shoulder injury, likely giving DuJuan Harris his first start since Week 16 last year.
Harris took advantage of that start -- which came on the road against Detroit -- rushing 11 times for 73 yards. But the following week he was relegated to a backup status. Hyde mised the 49ers’ Oct. 23 loss to the Buccaneers. Mike Davis started that game, but Harris ended up with more snaps -- and more yards -- than Davis.
In addition, Mike Purcell, who started the team’s first four games at nose tackle, is inactive for the first time this year.
