The 49ers have a full roster of 90 players and a whole bunch of questions about the group that is now assembled in Santa Clara for the offseason program.
Few positions appear solidified on the depth chart. About all we know for sure is that left tackle Joe Staley, wide receiver Torrey Smith and running back Carlos Hyde are being counted upon as starters. Most of the other spots on offense will have to be sorted out through competition.
There are just as many spots up in the air on defense, beginning with a defensive line that features potential starters DeForest Buckner, Arik Armstead and Quinton Dial, as well as Glenn Dorsey and Ian Williams, who are rehabbing from surgeries.
