Following up on a pledge made last year to contribute to better community relations with police, the San Francisco 49ers on Wednesday unveiled the first two episodes of a public-service announcement series centered on a “candid conversation” between police officers and residents about the root causes of historic tensions between law enforcement and communities of color.
The series, “Cops + Community in Conversation,” is slick production that features exterior shots of San Jose, Oakland and San Francisco, and revolve around a literal roundtable talk with a group of community members and police officers, including some recognizable Bay Area officers.
