Head coach Kyle Shanahan announced on Friday that right tackle Trent Brown will be placed on injured reserve to end his season. Zane Beadles will start in his place this Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.
Shanahan said he believes it is a labrum issue, but could not provide the specifics. He said it is a five-to-six month recovery window. That would get him back to 100 percent in May or June if the timeline holds up. Brown suffered the shoulder injury in practice leading up to Week 12 against the Seattle Seahawks.
