The San Francisco 49ers today announced they have placed G/T Alex Boone on the Injured Reserve List, and promoted RB Jarryd Hayne to the active roster from the team’s practice squad.
Hayne (6-2, 220) originally signed with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent on March 3, 2015. He appeared in six games this season and registered eight carries for 25 yards and returned eight punts for 76 yards on special teams prior to being waived by the team on October 31. He was signed to the team’s practice squad on November 2. Hayne will wear number 38.
