The 49ers announced a handful of roster moves ahead of Sunday’s game against the Cardinals. Defensive end Dee Ford was placed on the injured reserve. Defensive tackle Zach Kerr was released. With both players out, that would indicate Charles Omenihu would be active. The team is already thin along the defensive line, with Javon Kinlaw and Maurice Hurst out at defensive tackle.
Man, what a rough blow for a team that had one of the deepest defensive lines in the NFL heading into Week 1. Now, it’s anything but. This puts more pressure on Arik Armstead and Nick Bosa to perform.
