The San Francisco 49ers announced on Tuesday that they have claimed DL Zach Moore off waivers from the Dallas Cowboys. In order to make room on the roster, the team placed RB Carlos Hyde on the Injured Reserve List.
Moore (6-6, 290) was originally drafted by the New England Patriots in the 6th round (198th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft. As a rookie in 2014, Moore appeared in eight games (one start) where he registered three tackles, 0.5 sack, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Following his release from New England on September 5, 2015, he was signed to the Minnesota Vikings practice squad on September 8, 2015.
