Quietly placed between teams’ offseason activities and training camp, the NFL supplemental draft is one of those less-regarded dates on the league calendar.
In case you missed it, this NFL Draft-like event took place today, and the San Francisco 49ers passed on all players eligible, which included:
- Washington State DB Jalen Thompson
- West Virginia WR Marcus Simms
- Syracuse LB Shyheim Cullen
- Northland (Minn.) TE Devonaire Clarington
- St. Francis DB Bryant Perry
The Arizona Cardinals were the only team to make a selection, grabbing Thompson in Round 5.
