The San Francisco 49ers are on the road for Week 2, traveling to face the Carolina Panthers. The matchup kicks off at 10:00 a.m. PT. The lead official for the game will be John Parry. Last week, his crew covered the Raiders-Saints game. They called 14 penalties for 141 yards against the Raiders, and seven penalties for 53 yards against the Saints.
The 49ers are coming off a Week 1 performance in which they only committed two penalties for ten yards. Chip Kelly took the blame for one, and thinks the other was questionable, but even still, it was a strong showing of discipline by San Francisco.
