49ers OT Anthony Davis Retires . . . Again

In June of 2015, after the draft and initial free agency period were long gone, San Francisco 49ers offensive tackle Anthony Davis decided to retire for a year to allow his “Brain and Body a chance to heal.” He returned for training camp this season, before deciding to switch to right guard in order to accommodate Trent Brown taking over the right tackle spot. A couple weeks into the preseason, Davis had earned the starting job.

Yet, as soon as Davis was once again a starter, he decided — once again — he wanted to call it quits.
