SEATTLE
Trips to Seattle have been disastrous for the 49ers in recent years, not just on the scoreboard but in the training room.
That trend continued Sunday when a pair of starters, cornerback Eric Reid and tight end Vance McDonald, left the field in the second quarter and did not return. Ward suffered a quadriceps injury while covering a kick return. He went to the ground without any contact and had to be helped to the sideline.
Coach Chip Kelly did not have an update on his condition after the game. McDonald, meanwhile, suffered a hip injury.
