SANTA CLARA -- Chip Kelly has been asked about his interest in returning to Oregon for the last month and half, but he won't field those questions anymore.
According to multiple reports, the school is set to hire South Florida's Willie Taggart as its next football coach, Taggart is part of the Jim Harbaugh coaching tree. He served three seasons under Harbaugh at Stanford; Harbaugh also was Taggart's best man at his wedding.
Kelly, meanwhile, has maintained all along that he is committed to the NFL. He said the only call he made to Oregon after Mark Helfrich was let go by the Ducks last week was to Helfrich, whom Kelly hired at Oregon in 2009.
