SANTA CLARA -- Carlos Hyde spent Tuesday's practice with his right arm in a sling, the result of a shoulder injury he suffered Sunday against Buffalo.
Hyde was thrown down hard to the artificial surface in the third quarter. He immediately went to the sideline and was not available for a critical third-and-1 -- and then fourth-and-1 -- carry later in the quarter.
Asked if Hyde would be available this week, offensive coordinator Curtis Modkins said, "We'll see."
Hyde’s 429 rushing yards rank 11th in the NFL and his six rushing touchdowns are tied for second.
