SANTA CLARA – Nick Bosa might be in the best position of anyone on the 49ers to offer quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo some comforting words.
The 49ers are five practices into training camp. And Bosa, who proved to be one of the most disruptive defensive players in the game as a rookie, has not applied a whole lot of pressure to Garoppolo’s blindside.
Bosa put a little bit of heat on Garoppolo on one pass play during practice Thursday, prompting Garoppolo to step up in the pocket and deliver a pass. Bosa has also stuffed some run plays in the backfield.
