As of now, the San Francisco 49ers are set to select 31st overall in the 2020 NFL Draft. After that, the Niners aren’t scheduled to pick again until two selections in Round 5.
This has led to plenty of speculation general manager John Lynch will trade down in the draft, accruing day-two draft capital in exchange for another team’s shot to move into the back end of Round 1.
San Francisco doesn’t have a ton of needs this offseason. But the needs that do exist are pressing. Lynch and the 49ers could lose a starting wide receiver, Emmanuel Sanders, to free agency.
