The San Francisco 49ers have been terrible against the run this season, and that has a lot to do with the lack of production from the center of their defensive line. Lacking a true nose tackle, the 49ers allowed several 100-yard rushers, going so far as to allow them in seven consecutive games.
But they finally snapped that streak when they played the Arizona Cardinals in Week 10. David Johnson, who had 150 yards against the 49ers the first time they faced off this season, came in under 100 yards rushing.
A big reason for that was the return of nose tackle Glenn Dorsey.
