49ers made the right move re-singing Mike Person to three-year deal

Barring injury or some unforeseen trade, there will be zero changes for the San Francisco 49ers‘ starting offensive line from a year ago.

This, after ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Sunday the Niners were bringing back versatile offensive lineman Mike Person on a three-year deal:

49ers and starting right guard Mike Person reached agreement on a three-year, $9 million deal that includes $3 million guaranteed, per source. Person was scheduled to become a free agent.

Person, who joined head coach Kyle Shanahan’s squad on a one-year deal back in 2018, ended up securing the starting right guard role out of training camp and ended up starting all 16 games there.
